  • It has been a while since we had an Alumni Check In. This gentleman is both a former area JUCO standout, but also a STL Hoops Insider Spring Showcase alumni. Robbins dominated our last event, and actually saw his recruitment rise with D1 coaches shortly after the showcase. He eventually signed with the University of Illinois @ Chicago.   • An interview with former area standout Sean Rakers of McKendree.


  • Sean Rakers was one of the most dominate post players in the class of 2008. Thought to be a bonafied Division 1 prospect, Rakers shocked many when he signed with McKendree in the Fall of his senior season.   • An interview with former area standout Jeremy Sharpe of Rollins.


  • Jeremy Sharpe is an alumnus of CBC. The 6'6 was invited to several all-star games as a senior. However, he was asked to reshirt his freshman season at Rollins University. Taking full advantage of the opportunity to get better, Sharpe became his team's leading scorer the next season.   • An interview with former area standout Brian Fogerty of Fontbonne U.


  • Brian Fogerty is an alumnus of Winfield HS. Once a college football aspirant, he took his basketball skills to Fontbonne. Three years later, Fogerty is a NCAA Division III conference MVP and a two time Honorable Mention All-American. Be sure to check out this installment of the "Inside Scoop."

  • An interview with former area standout Karrington Pettiford.


  • One of the more underrated players in the class of 2008 was Karrington Pettiford. As a junior, Pettiford played with 3 double figure scorers and a forth player, an incoming freshman who was 6'8 with an area legend for a sibling. Coming into his senior year, no one knew who Pettiford was, but as a senior Pettiford used his rare combination of size (6'2), athleticism, and strength to turn himself into one of the area's top sleepers.
